Everything here is general information about UK tax. It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances. We are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and we do not provide regulated advice.

Accuracy
We take considerable care to be accurate: rates come from primary sources, are dated, and the calculation engine is covered by unit tests built from HMRC worked examples. Read the methodology.
Even so, we cannot guarantee that every figure is correct or current. Tax rules change, sometimes mid-year, and no calculator can capture every personal circumstance. Use these tools as estimates, not as the final word.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content. That includes decisions about employment, property purchases, incorporation, pensions or tax filings. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by our negligence, which cannot lawfully be excluded.
Content and copyright
The text, design and code of this site belong to us. You may read it, print it and share links freely. You may not republish substantial portions as your own, or copy the calculators for a competing site.
Tax rates and thresholds are facts published by government and belong to nobody. Quoting our figures with a link back is welcome.
Availability
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

We link to gov.uk, Revenue Scotland, the Welsh Revenue Authority and similar sources. We are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
