Privacy policy

The short version

Every calculation on this site runs inside your browser. Your salary, property price, redundancy package and everything else you type is never sent to us, never stored, and never seen by any server. There is no account to create and no email address to give.

What we do not collect

• Anything you enter into a calculator.
• Your name, email address, or contact details, unless you email us directly.
• Your financial information in any form.

Calculator inputs are held only in your browser's memory and in the page URL, so you can bookmark or share a result. Closing the tab discards them.

What is collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. These are used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify individuals.

Cookies

This site currently sets no cookies at all. We use no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising scripts. If that changes we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

Third parties

The site loads no external fonts, scripts or images. Links to gov.uk, Revenue Scotland and other sources are ordinary links — following one takes you to a site with its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. Because we do not collect or store personal data through the calculators, in practice there is normally nothing for us to hold. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This site is intended for adults dealing with their own tax affairs. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes — particularly anything involving cookies or advertising — will be flagged on the site.
