Corrections are the most useful thing you can send us. They get fixed the same day.
Reporting an error
If a figure looks wrong, the fastest way to get it fixed is to send us:
- The calculator, and ideally the URL — inputs are saved in the address bar, so copying it captures your exact figures.
- The number we gave you.
- The number you expected, and where it came from.
We check every report against the primary source. If we are wrong we fix it that day and record it on the changelog. If we are right, we will explain why — often it turns out to be a genuine subtlety worth adding to the page.
Suggesting a calculator
Tell us what you were trying to work out and why the existing tools did not help. The most useful suggestions describe a real situation rather than a feature.
What we cannot do
We cannot give tax advice or comment on your personal circumstances. We are not accountants and are not regulated to advise. For your own affairs, speak to a qualified accountant, to HMRC, or to one of the free services listed on our disclaimer page.
Using our content
Quoting our figures with a link back is welcome. If you write about UK tax and want to reference a calculator, or think one would be useful to your readers, do get in touch.
